Affordability Good Schools Clean Streets Patriotism Low Taxes Diverse Houses of Worship Good Neighbors Volunteerism Low Crime Good Government Hard Working People Then Came The Democratic Promises of 1998, What Has Happened In Three Years ... What Has Happened In Three Years? Prospect Park 1998-2001 Mayor Kubofcik and his Democratic candidates, over the past three years, have raised taxes over 30 points. THE WORSE TAX HIKE IN BOROUGH HISTORY. It is costing $450 more per year on the average assessment ($150,000 property). Property values have declined over one million dollars. The Borough now has one of the highest tax rates in Passaic County. The Borough Prosector, who contributed $1,300 to Mayor Kubofcik's campaign, is removed from office by Passaic County for blatant and excessive downgrades of charges. Court losses are nearly $200,000 over last two years and this revenue will have to be made up by taxpayers. Mayor Kubofcik and Council spend $10,000 on a lawyer to write an ordinance that could have been done by the Borough Attorney. Legal Fees in the Borough tripled from $30,000 to $100,000. Democrats end college requirements for new police officers when federal, state and local governments require it. Our police are paid very well and we deserve the best. No federal or state grants in 1999. Burnt out houses are left standing since 1999. Dirty streets and absentee landlord neglect are the rule of the day. Even the Mayor says the town has become "a garbage can". Major taxpayers leave - Haband and Chase Bank. PROSPECT PARK REPUBLICANS 2001

Revitalization & Beautification Efforts. 6. Regionalization - Cooperative action with neighboring towns. 7. Municipal Administration - professional person needed. 8. Grants - seek more federal and state grants 11. Council Role Must Be Restored - we cannot have puppets for the Mayor that act like rubber stamps. 12. Two party system for checks and balances. 13.
